to be told that they knew the rumors about the 3G iPhone coming to Aus but weren't

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the preordering, where would be the
best place, how much they think it will cost and how to find out when the
pre-ordering lists begin.
Thanks, i stumbled across this website and i have to say its awesome!

Is anyone using their iPhone on Telstra and using the free Bigpond services? I'm running (and luvin') my new 16Gb iPhone on Telstra's Next G network. After much kerfuffle with my original GSM card on which you cannot purchase a Telstra data pack (if only the first SEVEN Telstra staff I spoke to at the shop and on the phone had known that!).
Telstra data browsing is waaay expensive so I thought I'd sample some of their free fare for Next G customers at wap.bigpond.com but I get a 403 IP Forbidden error. I'm assuming they issue a different IP range to their HSDPA and Edge data browsers, does anyone know anything about this, like a way around it ;)?

Hi,

I just bought a pre unlocked iPhone off eBay that is running V1.1.2 and I would love to upgrade to V1.1.4. The iPhone has the installer.app already on it but I dont have a clue how it was unlocked.

Can anyone provide any advice or guides on how to go about upgrading. I'm petrified of 'bricking' my iPhone but reading the guides on ZiPhone for an OTB 1.1.4 unlock look simple enough.

I've got iTunes telling me everytime I sync there is a new version and do I wish to download it (of course I say no). Is it as simple as loading 1.1.4 on the iphone and then following the ZIphone tutorial as if it was a new phone out of the box ?

Details are below - Thanks in advance from an iphone gumby.

I am currently in the states and have bought an iphone, when i put in my Telstra nextG sim card the phone seems to know it is in but does not have any reception (i have int roaming activated) or come up with any of the contacts etc.

the iphone is the newest i believe (1.1.4) and from what others have said it should work straight up.

Any ideas on why this is happening or what i can do?
(i think it may have to do with being overseas?)
Cheers
Typing from iPhone so sorry if it gets dodge LOL
What I'm looking for is and iPod nano. I don't care what generation or what size (can be gen 1, 1gb etc.)

Reason I need it is because I wanna get that nike+ thing and it only works with nano so I'll just be using it for that.

Seen the oldest model on what for like 60 bucks but I'm not a big fan of ebay so thought I would see I'd any of u guys on here had an old one lying around.

Willing to pay money or trade for a turbosim. You can sell them on ebay for like $90 but I just never got around to it. So I'll send to you then u can sell or keep.
If you have ipod nano and nike+ kit that would be even better. Willing to pay money or trade turbosim plus a little extra.

And that's pretty much it. Would really appreciate it if someone out there could help me.

1. Click Video to iPhone Converter to load the Aimersoft Video to iPhone Converter. Then click “Add” button to load video files. This software supports batch conversion, so you can add several video clips at one time.

2. The operation is similar with DVD to iPhone Converter, this software can join several different video clips into one file, if you want to join video, just check the box “Merge into one file”. You also can customize the resolution, video bit rate, encoder, frame rate, audio bit rate, channel, etc in the setting panel by clicking the “Settings” button. The program also lets you create a profile and save it, then you can use different settings for each video clips.

3. Click “Start” button to start the conversion after you finish the settings.
If you want to crop the DVD movie, just click the “Crop” button, and then you will see a pop up window (See the figure below). There is a frame in dashed line around the movie video; you can drag it to cut the black edges. More over, you can click the Crop drop-down list to select a Crop model you prefer, for example: “Cut off top and bottom black edges”. You can even type the number in the box to cut off black border accurately.

So I'm new to the iPhone craze sweeping the country and are lucky enough to have one of my own. A friend picked one up for me in Bangkok and it was already unlocked when i got it! It's all a bit overwhelming to try and get your head around all this firmwear/baseband/bootloader etc but I'm slowly starting to get an idea of what its all on about.

All of the iPhoneae forums have been a great help in getting my iPhone up and running but I've noticed some things that I can't work out and I'm looking for some help.

I've got my numbers set up in the contacts and if i receive a text then it comes up with the persons name but when i receive a call it doesn't come up with the persons name. I've got the numbers entered with +61 4 ............ and it's like it's not being sent with the prefix from the mobile tower or something to that effect. If i remove the +61 then the text message doesn't register who it's from but fixes the incoming caller identification problem. Am i going mental or is this a common problem and please tell me theres an easy fix?

I may have just sorted out the other problem but if it doesn't work out then I'll get back to you on that.

I'm running the 1.1.4 Firmwear and I've been reading all of this stuff about pwnage and from what i gather, will this mean that if/when i upgrade the firmwear then run this pwnage it will remain unlocked even after subsequent upgrades?

I've probably bored anyone still reading this by now so i'll' finish up and thank you in advance if you've got any advice for me!
Cheers!
