here's a fun fact....
every single carrier in Australia knows if your using an iPhone.

i logged onto my Optus Zoo account today online and was amazed that it actually knew i was using an iPhone (check out the screenshot)

i then called a few of my friends with other carriers (telstra, vodafone, virgin) they checked it out and turns out that it said Apple iPhone too.

i knew that they could tell what phones people had but i didnt know this applied to iPhone's in australia aswell.

this means they could tell exactly how many are being used and where they are. way interesting. =)

I noticed this couple of days back, but you beat me to it lol! Yeah, it is interesting the numbers would be fun to look at.
