Hi all,

I recently got a new iphone, OOB 1.1.2 iphone from america - I know this cant be unlocked fully for the phone use yet so thats not my problem, i was wanting to jailbreak it so i can use the functions without the phone until my NextSim 2 card comes, but anyway,

I proceeded with a tutorial to unlock it, found here: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=18284

However, when i got to the step of joining a wifi network (at my home) i accidently pressed the back button too many times, and i ended up having to restart the phone, and then ended up restoring to factory settings.

Now, whenever i go to downgrade the firmware to 1.1.1 but I ALWAYS get the error: (1) not the expected (1015). I proceed anyway but the INdependence software wont work (unless i turn off and on the fone) and then it says its still got the firmware 1.1.2 installed, again i try to proceed anyway but i after i have typed and called the number: *#307# it cals, but then wont let me acces the calls controls, (hold, decline etc) instead puts me back to the key pad screen where i have to turn the fone off to stop it from ringing.

PLease please help!! ive ben at it for 6 hrs straight with no solution!!!!

thanks so much

Giles
Have you tried restoring 1.1.2?
I am using iPhoneSimFree on both my iPhones.
I bought it from http://aussieiphoneunlock.com/ (and no, I don't work for them) and am very happy with he results. It is now a fully functioning phone on Vodafone.

Hope that helps you.
Someone else on this forum said you can unlock it with 'turbosim'.
The (1) error occurs because you are not in DFU mode - research it and you will know how to restore properly Smile
