Hey Guys,

I'm with Optus and just got my first bill after using my unlocked iPhone (1.1.4)

To my surprise this month my bill was 92 PAGES LONG!!!!!! And consists of hundreds (if not thousands) of 2cent Internet connections that basically go on day and night every few minutes....

Has anyone seen this before... and WTF is going on!?

Now when I look through the bill... they are all against the cell for the suburb where I live, and looking at the times, seem to be when I am at home... which is when my phone is using my home wifi connection.... Looks like when I'm at work all day this doesn't happen.... so what's the go!? Seems like its constantly polling something via gprs while I'm at home on wifi, how does that makes sense!?

The bill is only about $95 so not the end of the world, but still I don't want it to go on every month!!!

Thanks for any help.

JM
Maybe you could try contacting Optus...? May be a problem they have had before...

Yeah I might try, I assumed they wouldn't want to know about it, and just put it down to using an imported handset or something.

Anyway just removed the APN details for now, hopefully that fixes it. I notice now when you take it out of sleep mode and hit something online straight away, it will now give that 'no edge' error message, because it hasn't had time to establish the wifi connection. So that might be part of the problem, although i stil lhave nfi what it was connecting to.
