can i use my 3 sim card in my 2g iphone?
i heard if you get a turbosim or anysim you can put a 3g sim card and it will work, can anyone confirm?
it depends on how old your 3G sim is but even then its a bit hazy.
i have tried it with about 6 three sim cards (thank you paul at 3 haha) all with different ages (2 months old, 4 months old, 6 months old etc.) with a turbosim and it worked with 4 out of the 6
it also depends on what turbosim type you have, i have 2 different types and both work differently with different sims.
let me know if you wanna go through with it and we could figure something out (i could test it for you and if it doesnt work then no charge =] making a cut in the sim doesnt affect it in any way so if it doesnt work you can use it in other phones still)
cheers,
Peter
whats the reception like? and how much would a turbosim cost?
because you roaming 24/7 its working off telstra towers so coverage is everywhere telstra is.
turbosims can range from $90-$160...just depends where you get it. ive got a few so im selling for $80 (i dont need them).
also watch out for dodgy people from hong kong selling on ebay for $9.99. they send you out pieces of cardboard, happened to a few people i know
at that price its not really worth it. i appreciate the info anyway
the reason i say is because i want to go back to 3 mobile, and im currently with (sh*ty) telstra.
ill just consider buying a 3G one with 3 if they release it
