Hi,

I just bought a pre unlocked iPhone off eBay that is running V1.1.2 and I would love to upgrade to V1.1.4. The iPhone has the installer.app already on it but I dont have a clue how it was unlocked.

Can anyone provide any advice or guides on how to go about upgrading. I'm petrified of 'bricking' my iPhone but reading the guides on ZiPhone for an OTB 1.1.4 unlock look simple enough.

I've got iTunes telling me everytime I sync there is a new version and do I wish to download it (of course I say no). Is it as simple as loading 1.1.4 on the iphone and then following the ZIphone tutorial as if it was a new phone out of the box ?

Connect it to itunes, upgrade to 1.1.4, run ziphone and jail break it. easy as that!

Hey Murty - did you end up getting your iPhone ?

No I didn't. I'm waiting it out until iphone v2 comes out. I got an ipod touch though which is similar in some regards.
