I just got my iphone and want to connect to the internet . I am with Optus how do you set up the phone after you have a data plan to take advantage of the internet apps

all you have to do to set up the net is go..
settings, general, network, EDGE.
then its just APN: internet
username and password are left blank
and thats it. you now have GPRS for Optus setup.

Decided to go with Virgin so I could get the 300mb download for 10.00 per month. Does anyone know how to configure the phone for Virgin. I tried the Optus settings and no good.

that should be it, make sure you do the caps. if that doesnt work then try VirginWAP instead of VirginInternet

I had my phone working on VirginInternet on a new simcard waiting to transfer over from Optus but when my number eventually changed over from Optus it wouldnt connect to the internet even when I changed to VirginWAP. Help
